You’re in the presence of great power. Poured from the past, this whiskey beauty boldly marks our first barrel-aged batch, which calls for a toast. And yes, this bold batch tastes as good as it looks. Shimmering bright gold and slightly hazy with a heavy malty sweetness, every sip is elevated by notes of apple and tangerine, then warmly enveloped in an aroma of oak aged whiskey and bourbon and vanilla. To bestow this brew and bravely hit a staggering 20% ABV, we took the road less traveled, using fermentation alone, along with grains plucked in perfect harmony with three yeast strains. No wonder Colossus defies classification… and most laws of nature.
